Darin joins the Board as an acting tribunal member for a three-year term effective April 11, 2023. Darin  has worked in the legal and resource management fields for over 30 years and served as the Director of the Environmental Law Section of Alberta Justice and Solicitor General from 2009 to 2018. His experience includes management of environmental impact assessment reviews, involvement in development of environmental and resource management legislation, and representation of the Province at public-interest hearings on major oil sands, power-plant and other projects. In addition to a LL.B., Darin has a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in renewable wildlife and rangeland resources. He was appointed a King’s Counsel in 2020.
