On April 2, 2007, Arclin (formerly Dynea Canada Ltd.) filed an application with the NRCB and Alberta Environment, for approval to construct and operate a formaldehyde production plant in Sexsmith, Alberta. The proposed site is in the southeast corner of the Town of Sexsmith, east of the Canac railway (Lot 4, Plan 3809 TR) within the County of Grande Prairie No. 1.
On September 18, 2008, the Board issued its decision report (NR 2008-02).
